FAQ and General Information

When and where is the 2024 Convention being held?

COBA24, the Customer Owned Banking Convention, is being held from Sunday 22 September until Tuesday 24 September 2024 at the Adelaide Convention Centre, North Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000.

What sustainable practices does COBA Convention follow and how can I help?

COBA Convention aims to support sustainable practices and reduce the impact of events on the environment. All printed materials are kept to a minimum, and each year we work towards reducing these further. Sponsors are encouraged to provide recyclable, biodegradable, or reusable products made from sustainable materials for their satchel inserts, rather than information leaflets. Eco-friendly fully recyclable name badges are provided to attendees and satchel bags are chosen based on environmentally sustainable materials and practices. Recycling boxes are provided at the end of the event for lanyards, name badges, program books and other recyclable items.

Attendees are encouraged to use electronic resources including the attendee app or Convention website. They are also encouraged to consider offsetting their carbon footprint when booking flights. All accommodation options available through the secretariat are within walking distance to the Convention venue.

The venue, ACC is an industry leader in environmental innovation. Full information on their practices is shown on their website.
