Emerging Leaders who attend COBA24 will connect with executives, innovators and thought leaders who share insights, best practices and cutting-edge ideas on driving positive change. You can explore the latest trends, challenges and opportunities in purpose-led banking and leave with new perspectives, new tools and having grown your network of passionate peers.

In addition to the full main convention program, Emerging Leader delegates receive an additional day of specially curated sessions to help grow your professional and leadership potential.

Eligibility to attend COBA24 as an Emerging Leader: you are required to attend the full Emerging Leaders program. You must be an employee of a COBA member organisation, and you must be 35 years of age or under as at 31 December 2024.

1100 - 1130 – Morning Tea
1130 - 1245 – EL Session: The Big Picture: Career and life lessons from our sector's leaders

1330 - 1500 – EL Session: Influencing and Managing Up
1500 - 1530 – Afternoon Tea
1530 - 1700 – EL Session: The Leadership Leap: What you need to un-learn and re-learn
1700 - 1900 – Welcome Reception in the Exhibition – A Taste of South Australia

The Emerging Leaders Program provides development and learning opportunities for aspiring leaders and young professionals in the customer-owned banking sector. Events and initiatives run throughout the year include: mentoring programs with sector CEOs and leaders, networking events, special program at COBA’s annual convention and global engagement opportunities with the World Youth Credit Union Professionals (WYCUP) through the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU).
